The Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Frankfurt am Main serves the Bosnian diaspora across four western German federal states — Hesse, Bremen, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. Consul General Nermin Mešinović heads the mission. Frankfurt's position as Germany's financial capital and the consulate's jurisdiction over North Rhine-Westphalia — Germany's most populous state and home to large Bosnian communities in cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Essen — make it one of the busiest Bosnian consular posts in Europe. The consulate provides the full range of consular services including passport and ID card issuance, civil registration, document legalisation and visa processing.
